Cloud Services & Azure Migration in Vancouver
Aging on-premises servers are a ticking clock: hardware refresh costs, single points of failure, and remote-work friction. Glimpse Networks helps Vancouver businesses move to the cloud deliberately — with a migration plan, cost model, and security posture defined before anything moves.
Whether that's full Microsoft Azure, a hybrid setup, or simply modernizing file storage into SharePoint, we design for what your business needs rather than what's trendy.
Cloud services we deliver
Cloud readiness assessment
A clear-eyed audit of your workloads, dependencies, and costs — with a recommendation on what to move, keep, or retire.
Azure migration & management
Lift-and-shift or re-architect server workloads into Microsoft Azure, then monitor, patch, and optimize them ongoing.
Hybrid cloud design
Keep latency-sensitive or regulated workloads on-site while everything else moves to the cloud — connected securely.
Cloud cost optimization
Right-sized instances, reservations, and monthly cost reviews so your cloud bill doesn't quietly balloon.
File server modernization
Migrate legacy file shares to SharePoint and OneDrive with permissions mapped and users trained.
Azure Virtual Desktop
Secure virtual desktops for remote teams, contractors, and bring-your-own-device scenarios.
Cloud Services: frequently asked questions
Is the cloud cheaper than on-premises servers?
It depends on the workload. Cloud eliminates hardware refresh cycles and pays off for variable or remote-heavy workloads, but an always-on, resource-hungry server can cost more in the cloud. Our assessment models both options honestly before you commit.
How long does a cloud migration take?
A typical SMB migration runs 4–12 weeks depending on the number of servers and applications. We migrate in phases with rollback plans, so the business keeps running throughout.
Can our data stay in Canada?
Yes. Microsoft Azure has Canadian regions (Toronto and Québec City), and we design deployments to keep data residency in Canada where required.
What happens to our old servers?
Once workloads are validated in the cloud, we decommission old hardware securely — including certified data destruction — or repurpose it as a backup or DR target.
