What is GN Cloud?
GN Cloud is our private, managed cloud storage platform — a Canadian-hosted alternative to Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive. It's powered by Nextcloud, the leading open-source content collaboration platform, and run on our own infrastructure in a PIPEDA-compliant Vancouver data centre.
Where is my data actually stored?
In Canada, full stop. Your files live on our infrastructure in a Vancouver data centre and never leave Canadian jurisdiction — which matters for PIPEDA and BC PIPA compliance, and for anyone uncomfortable with their data sitting under foreign cloud providers' legal reach.
What does 'sovereign cloud' mean and why should I care?
A sovereign cloud keeps your data under your own country's laws and jurisdiction. Files stored with US-based providers can be subject to US legislation such as the CLOUD Act regardless of where the server sits. With GN Cloud, your data is on Canadian soil, under Canadian law, with a local company you can actually phone.
Can I edit Office documents without Microsoft 365?
Yes. GN Cloud includes OnlyOffice, which opens and edits Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files right in the browser — including real-time co-editing with colleagues. It's fully compatible with Microsoft Office formats.
Can my business get a white-labelled version?
Yes — that's a GN Cloud specialty. Business tiers run on a private instance, and Enterprise plans are fully white-labelled: your logo, your colours, your domain on the login page, apps, and every sharing link. On-premise deployment and SSO integration are also available.
Will you help us migrate from Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive?
